Matte Laminated Wall Maps

Glare-Free Protection

Your map is printed, then laminated front and back with a 3 mil hot lamination in a matte, glare-free finish. You get the same protection as our glossy lamination against tearing, moisture, and fading, with a low-sheen surface that stays easy to read under bright lights. Matte laminated maps work with Mark-It Dots and are ready to hang or roll up for travel. Matte lamination is not compatible with dry-erase markers.

When to Choose Matte

Choose matte lamination for conference rooms, presentations, and spaces with lots of natural or overhead light, where a glossy finish can reflect glare. Colors stay clear and readable with less shine. If you want the brightest possible color or plan to write on your map with dry-erase markers, choose glossy lamination.

Frequently Asked Questions

You’ll find answers to many common questions below. If you still need help, feel free to contact us - our team will be happy to assist.

When should I choose matte lamination?

Matte is ideal for rooms with bright overhead lights or lots of natural light, and for maps used in presentations, where glare can make details hard to see.

Can I write on a matte laminated map?

No. Matte lamination is not compatible with dry-erase markers. If you plan to write on your map, choose glossy lamination. Matte laminated maps do work with Mark-It Dots.

Does matte lamination protect as well as glossy?

Yes. Both finishes use the same 3 mil hot lamination on the front and back of the map, protecting against tearing, moisture, and fading.

Will matte lamination change how my map looks?

Matte gives your map a soft, low-sheen appearance. Colors stay clear and readable, with less shine than our glossy finish.

Can matte laminated maps be mounted or framed?

Yes. Matte laminated maps can be finished with rails, grommets, mounting, or framing. Talk with a Map Specialist if you have questions about a specific combination.
